What database does MultiPub use?

MultiPub primarily utilizes the Progress database; however, other options are available. 

What is the preferred operating system of MultiPub?

Most MultiPub clients utilize Linux or Windows; however, virtually all operating systems are supported.

Is a database administrator required to manage the MultiPub database?

Absolutely not!  The MultiPub database will run for years with very little maintenance required.  And the maintenance that is necessary is included as part of your maintenance and support agreement wtih DSI.

Can I use web services to access the MultiPub data?

With MultiPub V12, web services are now an option.  Please contact DSI if you're interested in obtaining more information on how MultiPub can integrate with your other systems.

Can I access the database via ODBC or other report writers?

Absolutely!  MultiPub utilizes ODBC-compliant databases and DSI supports it's customers in their efforts to gain access to their data.

What business intelligence tools are available to analyze MultiPub data?

The MultiPub report package is the most complete reporting package available.  Additionally, most reports are available in a printed report or in an Excel format to enable the user to sort and sub-total their data.  You may also use ODBC drivers for accessing the database via third-party report writers such as Crystal Reports.  The DSI supplies DataPA for quickly creating dashboards and other reports.
